Brooklyn Limestone Giveaway

One of the fascinating things about the blogging world is the way that folks are creatively using it for marketing. I didn't even know I wanted a mini ghost chair until I saw Mrs. Brooklyn Limestone's post about giving one away. Her blog is linked to the left. Enjoy!

Working Harder Than I Thought We Could!

We have worked harder than I even knew was possible. Fortunately we have some amazing friends and family members who have jumped in to help in one way or another. We have prayed and prayed and prayed over seeking God's will with this transition, and we've found new faith... again and again.

We've been busy, and now that we've got a speedier internet, we can finally add more pictures in.

Before Pictures

As soon as I get a chance, I'll scan in some pictures from the very beginning of our home's life. Very little has changed over the last 61 years. While the structure has held up remarkably well... the paint has not. After a week of work, we've just finished patching, patching, patching and painting the walls, the ceiling and the trim in the living/dining room. We've also had to replace the front door. T. did a remarkable job fitting the standard door into our not so standard opening. A few coats of stain and poly, and we've got a smart looking front door!

We'll start with pictures of the work in progress! I am certainly NOT a photographer, so you'll have to use your imagination to fill in some of the details! As soon as the appraisal is conducted tomorrow morning, we're set to tear down the interior window wall and make any repairs to the floor below. Once that's set, we're onto demolishing the wall between the kitchen and dining room.
